Today the student dormitories of Mykolayiv National Agrarian University are the second home for those who come to study not only from Mykolayiv region, but also from Lviv, Kirovograd, Ternopil, Volyn and other regions of Ukraine.
Every student at the university wants to settle down and live in renovated dormitories. The dorms have all the necessary amenities.
In the leisure rooms, students can listen to music and watch their favorite TV programs. In light cozy branches of the libraries, students can prepare for lectures and seminars, work out scientific sources, and read their favorite newspapers and magazines.
In the athletic facilities, students can gain physical strength through weightlifting and other activities. According to our students, someone who doesn’t live in the dorm doesn’t truly taste student life! The dormitory student council is the organizer of interesting cultural and entertaining events for those who love to sing or dance….
Pleasant memories remain with students from meetings with psychologists, cosmetologists, and medical professionals. The student dormitory club organizes holidays for Women’s Day, St. Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Day, and Victory Day. Organizing clean Thursdays, competitions for the best room, chess tournaments, participation in the All-Ukrainian action “Green sprout of the future” (arrangement of dormitory territories), and assistance for the residents of the City Asylum for the Elderly and the Disabled are far from a complete list of interesting activities aimed at healthy living and the spiritual values of our students.
At each meeting of the student council, student violations and issues related to the sanitary condition of rooms, kitchens, etc. are discussed. And it produces definite results.
Student council members do not compromise in their evaluation of the behavior of students who do not comply with the terms of the contract concluded between the administration and the residents of the dormitory. The Student Council takes appropriate measures (such as warnings, reprimands, and expulsion from the dormitories) with such students.
Creating proper social and living conditions in student dormitories, conducting interesting cultural and entertainment programs, and controlling the observance of the rules of the dormitory are some of the important tasks of student self-government in dormitories, which derives from the social program of economic and educational activity of the university.
